Multiples Antenatal Class
Salisbury District Hospital provides Multiples Antenatal Classes specifically designed to meet the needs of parents expecting twins and multiples. The day course covers all the usual antenatal areas but looks specifically at the differences for multiple births. You will receive a tour around the labour and postnatal wards plus a visit to the Nicu (neo-natal care unit). We support these classes by sharing our real life experiences and advice. The books and information in our resource centre are available at these sessions.
These classes also enable us to meet you before the birth and therefore provide support in the early weeks after the birth, helping you to get out and to the Club. It also helps you get to know other expectant mums and dads.
For the date of our next antenatal class please visit our events page or for more information and booking please phone the day assessment unit on 01722 425185.
Following on from the antenatal class, STAMC host an informal evening which covers all aspects of feeding twins. The aim is to introduce you to members who have various feeding experiences from breast to bottle and everything in between.
As twin parents we know how daunting it can be to feed two, we have been there. We know the little things that can make it that little bit easier and get you thinking about how to prepare yourself for this both mentally and logistically.
This is usually held on an evening a week or two after the antenatal. It is another great opportunity to make friends with people at the same stage of pregnancy and give you a support network when your little ones arrive.
You will be given more details at the antenatal class.
